Aurora

Aurora Aksnes was born on 15 June 1996 in Stavanger, Norway. Professionally known as Aurora and sometimes stylized with uppercase letters as AURORA. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves, was released in May of 2015 by Decca Records to great approval of bloggers in the music industry and media. She's recorded a variety of well-known covers, such as Half the World Away (by Oasis), from the group Oasis) to accompany John Lewis' Christmas advert and Nature Boy (by Nat King Cole) and have been widely praised. The singer gained further attention through a tweet from Katy Perry where Perry endorsed her song Runaway. Make it a special day. Aurora Aksnes' earliest memory of music is when she discovered an old grand piano hidden in the attic. It was awe-inspiring to see its capabilities. Jan Oystein Aksnes was her father. The Aksnes family encouraged her to not to do music just to have fun or for the sake of growing, but that she must explore it. The Aksnes family encouraged her to compose. Her sources include noted authors Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan and her love of Bjork's style. When her mother said that her songs could not only help her achieve fame and also inspire others to see their importance in the world and realize how they can benefit from the songs She decided to start performing publicly. She started playing piano when she was six years old and started writing songs when she was nine. The fact that she was a musician wasn't known to her family until she reached the age of fourteen. Aurora isn't something she imagined as a child. Aurora says she loves creating songs. Music is her favorite way of feeling anything.
